Bills are issued on or about the 6th of each month and are due on or about the 16th of the same month.

A 2% penalty is charged on any payments made after the due date.
A 3.9% penalty is levied on arrears past 30 days.
Payments made at the bank, banking machine or through telephone banking are credited to the customers account on the date that the funds are deposited into the Town's bank account.
Please pay early enough to allow time for the payment to reach the Town's bank account.

Basic Water charge- Flat Rate
This is a flat charge of $18.98/ 40 m3 plus $0.85/cm over and above 40cm.
Sewer - Flat Rate
A flat residential charge of $18.99/month.
Gas - Residential
The Town of Sedgewick provides gas to it's residents. A monthly service charge of $14.00/month.
Consumption
Your water and gas meters are read every month and charges are based on the amount of gas and water used since your last reading. Readings are in Cubic meters/MCF/Gjs
Garbage - Residential Flat Charge of $16.73
The Town of Sedgewick contracts waste management services from Flagstaff Regional Solid Waste Management Association. FWM allows 5 garbage bags per pickup. (Pickup is Thursday and your garbage should be out by 7:30am)
Please leave your garbage in the back alley (in the front if no back alley). Winter exceptions apply to residents along McLean Crescent West (north side) and along 53rd Street.(West).

You are able to purchase extra garbage tags at the Town of Sedgewick Office for $1.00/tag.

Town residents are responsible for disposing of any additional garbage to the Transfer Site (located east of the town along Twp Road 422)
A $3.00 tipping fee will be charged on site. There are restrictions as to what can be taken to the transfer site and what must be taken to the Landfill located northeast ot the Town of Sedgewick.

Garbage MUST be bagged and tied and should be in containers and placed for collection prior to 7:30AM every Thursday.

Recycling bins are located at the public works shop

4801 - 48 Street (behind the Flowers by the Trax)
Accepted materials are: Cardboard (As of February 2009, all cardboard must be taken to the bins - Cardboard will not be picked up by Waste Management.), Plastics (1-7) are now accepted at the recylce bins. Please NO plastic bags, NO plastic film, NO Styrofoam.

5300 - 50 Street (beside the Golf Course)
Accepted materials are: Compost and Yard waste(No branches)- No bagged waste allowed.
Anyone dumping garden waste into the ditches along the County Roads will be subject to a fine.

Sedgewick does NOT have newspaper or paper recylcing.

The Town of Sedgewick currently does not charge any hook up fees.

The Town of Sedgewick does not require a deposit for initial hookups.

If a utility bill is 30 days overdue, a past due notice will be sent including interest.
If a utility bill is more than 60 days overdue, a cutoff notice will be hung on your door.
Failure to pay the specific amount by the required payment date will result in your services being cuttoff or in winter transferred to your taxroll.
In order to have the services reconnected a fee of $50.00 will be added to your account.
