Obtaining a Land Survey

You may be required to determine your site paramenters; lot dimensions, position of all the improvements to the site and any encroachments that may exist. You will be required to obtain a Legal Land Survey.

Before you hire a surveyor to do a land survey, make sure you check with the Town of Sedgewick Office as we have many land survey's on file. If we do not have an up to date land survey of your property, you can contact the Alberta Land Surveyor's Assocation for a list of commonly asked questions about Legal land survey's. You can also order many brochures that provide you with additional information about your building project.

Once you receive your survey, the Town of Sedgewick requests that you bring it in and we will make a copy to keep on file with your property.
