The Town of Sedgewick is part of the Battle River School Division #31.

Sedgewick is home to Central High Sedgewick Public School housing Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students from the surrounding towns of Killam, Lougheed and Hardisty attend High School at CHSPS.

Another option is the Living Truth Christian School. The school is located in the Sedgewick Rec Centre (5301 – 51 Ave.) upstairs at the north end. It is a fully accredited Christian Education (Koinonia program) for Kindergarten to Grade 12. Living Truth run a 4 day school week and has small class sizes.
